Julia Vee
SHORT BIO
Julia was a trial lawyer in Silicon Valley. She attended UC Berkeley and majored in Asian Studies. She often writes with co-author Ken Bebelle. Their novel Ebony Gate, an Asian-inspired contemporary fantasy, was named a 2023 Golden Poppy Finalist for the Octavia E. Butler award. Her novelette, Three Times Lucky is a 2025 Scribe Award Finalist.

Julia Vee loves stories of magic and monsters.
A lifelong fan of comics, Julia met her spouse over a shared love of the medium. She is passionate about rescue dogs, knitting, and soup. Her fandoms include Pursuit of Jade, Elfquest, Avatar the Last Airbender, Kate Daniels, the Witcher, and Shang-Chi.
