Today I had just a bit of time this evening so I read The Court Magician by Sarah Pinsker. Truly marvelous. Anytime there is a good magic system, there is a cost. I love the setup and rhythm of this short piece. You can read it here for free.
At lunch today I started Richard Fox’s short story “Going Dark” from Backblast Area Clear Anthology. I always love his writing — fast paced and vivid. This military sci-fi short is no exception.
I look forward to reading the rest of it tomorrow evening, as well as digging into to the other pieces in this anthology.
