I love the beginning of the year. I also get to celebrate new year twice since I will celebrate again on Lunar New Year in February! There’s a reason people start on the first day of the month, or the first day of the week or in this case, the new year–everyone likes a clean slate.
For my fresh start, I bought a planner (because of course I did) and I bought this dazzling ATLA calendar with 13 watercolors in it.
January’s image is gorgeous. Here is the Katara brushpainting. For every day of the month that I wrote fiction, I made an X with a red Sharpie. 
Very satisfying.
